Plastic rear window

On the new car I have just bought the rear plastic window is MILKIE and hard to see through. Any idea o9n how to get it a bit better to see through?

I tried a bit of plastic headlight polish on mine seemed to make it slightly better
1990 NA6C MX5

Mothers plastic polish works well.
