Great parts as always Junkwhale.

Sold my Runabout S800 mirrors to Dylan as I want to go in a different direction.

Got the mirrors in today, Californian by Vitaloni.
Have been told these are genuine Vitaloni mirrors but I don't know what the tell tale signs are, but they look pretty good in hand

and pretty great on the car

Is youpost easy? I've ordered some non-car stuff and got it sent there... I'm guessing they email me how much I owe them to forward it onto NZ and then voila?

That's my understanding of how it works.
I ordered some stuff from FM a few days ago.
I'm expecting to hear from YouShop next week.

Youshop? Youshop is the bees knees, had about 30 items sent through there, great service even when a package arrived empty (item fell out of package in transit to youshop) customer service was rad.

Yes youshop is easy just gotta check their weights / dimensions on what you are getting
small packages = great
sometimes sellers have a better shipping deal like i got set of 4 disc rotors and pads shipped by an ebay seller to nz for 25nzd freight
and 1 rear caliper thru youshop was 65nzd freight
just gotta pick and choose and check all the options

steer clear of ebay sellers using the agreed customs bs

looks like the customs and gst cutoff is changing soon too but its still prob cheaper to buy some stuff overseas

I use Kiwi Shipping for big orders of stuff. Shipped about 100kg of car parts last year for ~$250 and took just over a month to get here.

Can definitely recommend YouShop.
Just got sway bars from FM and inlet valves from 949racing. In both cases, from the time the goods arrived at the YouShop warehouse in Oregon to the time they hit my doorstep, was 7 days.
Communication is also excellent. Email updates all the time - arrival at warehouse, leaving warehouse, arrival in NZ, clearing Customs (assuming no GST to pay).

Pity NZ Customs aren't as efficient. My flywheel (which is over the $400 limit) arrived in NZ, via Youshop, on Tuesday, and I haven't heard a thing from them yet!!!!!

Hmmm our cars seem suspiciously similar at times :P Excess number of RPF1s, same mid-pipe, red... Must mean I'm doing something right sometimes...

Nice! Any pics of the finished cage? What are you doing for seats/harnesses?

I'm looking at getting that stuff done in the next month or two as well.

Cage is a DIY home job... seats are budget NZKW I have a couple of expired harnesses which should be ok with the additional 5 year extensions.

That cage looks awesome.

What seat-belt stalks/receivers are those? They don't look like mx5 one's - do the factory belts fit them?

Dunno but they plug into factory belts.

They are surplus once the cage is painted and harnesses fitted..

Many/all imported roadsters will have had the factory belts replaced with Australian-made Autoliv belts and receivers, so I guess there is a pretty good chance you could find compatible parts.

Also, the NA6 receiver mounted to the floor on stalks, whereas the NA8s had the receiver attached to the seat with a weird slider that mounted to the back of the trans tunnel.

My '94 NA8 still has the anchorage points for the stalk style belts beneath the carpet, but I think they removed those in a later revision.

If you want to know anything about the conversion, or have a look at one already done, you know how to get hold of me.

awesome purchase SKREEE, I would love to see some photos of it installed :)
It looks very nice, I love the old school retro look of those. I plan to one day grab one myself but I need to work out which brand makes this type as I love the look of the bolts holding it in place (and I need to work out if it is compatible with the NA mx5 :)
