Hows this for making sure you ring around for prices....

Lower radiator hose 98 NB.....Appco $126.00

2nd hand from a wrecker $60.00 + gst

Partmaster ...couldnt give me a price & haven't phoned back

And heres the juicy bit..North Shore Mazda $15.00 but will have to wait 10 days as there is none in stock. I can wait as its for my NA project car! :D

What are you going to the NB hose for?

But yes Mazda is often cheaper than people expect ha

To do away with the two-piece hose & metal tube & bracket plus the two extra hose clips.
Mine needs replacing & the NB ones fit,is cheaper & less joints to fail [& probably lighter].

Interesting, do you have a picture you can link or post up...?

Also, I agree, Mazda were way cheaper on heater hoses than what I could find around as well. Very surprising, but I always check with them first now.

Here are the pics from the parts books for 94 NA and 99 NB. Looks like there is supposed to be some form of retainer on the NB hose as well.

I have seen that retainer and will fab something when i get the new hose.

I needed a headlight
$46 and they had to order in at Supercheap
$22.50 and in stock at repco

For anyone curious here is the new NB one piece lower radiator hose that i have fitted to my NA...old one with metal tube.

silly mazda, should have made it one piece in the first place :lol: , might have to give mazda a ring, always a fan of less things to go wrong
