Not gunna lie, when I compare prices using Rod from Tetsuya to Alex from Moonlight rod is definitely cheaper, surprisingly cheap to ship over stuff like headers and exhaust systems via airmail.
Plus you don't have to wait for a container to fill up with Rod as I believe he sends everything on the first available container here.

Well I haven't compared the two for many items apart from a pair of Hayashis, 530 shipped from Alex and 480 from Rod if i remember correctly. Of course it could have been that the streets were local to Rod and not Alex or other reasons, then again you could be getting the better end of mates rates from Alex.

Doesn't have a cert... Plus I don't trust other people when they do modifications. I guess I just assume they take shortcutsMrGrey wrote:this looks like it would be fun....

pondering these tecnocast 16x7's for my black NB: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =694256239
bit hard to tell how bad the curb rash is though & how easy it would be to fix them up

my advice would be to carefully file the worst of the curbrash down, then sand that outer ring that the rash appears on and repaint that ring black or gold.
what colour is your 5? I personally think gold rims only really suit the mariner blue mx5's, giving it that 'STI' look
ps no I do not mean sexually transmitted infection, you pervs

sounds like a plan to me. worth trying to fill the bigger holes with something or not a good idea on wheels?MrGrey wrote:my advice would be to carefully file the worst of the curbrash down, then sand that outer ring that the rash appears on and repaint that ring black or gold.
It's black - i quite like the black nb's i've seen with gold rims so far, although might actually paint them bronze. I have some paint already for the colour on the rims in this pic which i reckon would go well with a black nb: http://i.imgur.com/udazx.jpgMrGrey wrote:what colour is your 5? I think they're 40 offset (pretty sure the title is an error, says 40 further down and google shows 4x100pcd only in 40 elsewhere) - so would be be 1.3cm wider either side of the wheel than the OEM 15's i've got atm.CordedBowl wrote:The offset is mega high so they'd be quite sunken into the body, and tires for 16s can get expensive quickly!
you're right about the tires being more expensive though and much harder to find what you want in.

Really? ...that sucks.MrGrey wrote:that's a good point... upon looking closer at them you would need spacers otherwise will rub when turning full lock (which is a fail for WOF's) and spacers require a cert
Edit:
googling says 7" with ~40 offset is pretty common on NA/NBs. Not sure if it's aesthetically the best option (could be too sunken) but will def fit.
