Painted would look better,

I went to a drift day today and had a pretty decent time thrashing. Many people had problems or crashes.

I hit the wall in the same spot but harder so she is gonna need some work.

One of the guys at work used to work in the hi-fi business for a few years and had a listen to my sound system...
long story short, he replaced all the caps in my (brand new) JVC speakers with higher quality poly-something capacitors.

after giving putting the speakers back in today, end result = richer and smoother midrange and high's.

well worth it for the grand price of $35 for the caps and a coffee for his morning tea 8)

Fairly productive day. Removed the poorly wired aftermarket front driving lights and all the associated wiring and switch. Fitted a front brace bar that I bought from a member on this forum. Spent two hours changing the roof from a mouldy brown colour to black. Bad news was I have a fairly significant oil leak from somewhere. Guess I will have to start investigations once I have degreased the engine.

Well that was a fun weekend. NOT.

Friday night I had my windscreen utterly destroyed. As well as my fender damaged as fuck.

I use the term drunk loosely I would put my money on methamphetamine. I got out of my car holding my pipe ready to go at him. Until I saw him and three others chasing us down in which case I got to a ridiculous speed down a suburban road :/

But no, my luck is ass. This has made me realize the car needs to go, it doesnt feel the same to drive, and frankly I'm scared driving it :/

Haha Nah, I'm actually to scared to drive it now, the guy knows what my car looks like, what I look like and that I had his party shut down. Idk, possibly another mx5, or I'll just sit on the forum and troll without a car

Well as ironic as your wheel colour choice was perhaps a can of black spray paint couldn't hurt, some carbonfibre wrap for the bonnet & boot (eBay, it's cheap) and grow a big dirty moustache....

Thought you were just being dramatic about giving up on MX5's until I read that, yeah fair point you don't want some drop kick going after you.

I've had the same feeling when I got chased in my VW one day, this was the Golf so it kind of blended in with the other Silver Mk3 GTI's except I had a Zender spoiler on the back.. So if you knew what to look for I wasn't hard to spot.

I know - a lot of my friends are calling me out for being a bitch. But it's like shit dude, you drive a car that stands out and think that no one notices it :/

Hah, try sitting at the lights minding your own business while some bastard gets the jump on you because he recognized your car from down the street.

I'd rather be called a bitch than be a tough guy in hospital or worse getting stuck in the ground.

If that fails, just rape them. ಠ_ಠ

Washed the car, finally cleaned the inside of the windscreen which was horrendously dirty and then went and got petrol. On the way back home I took a slight detour to Piha and back and realised I had used up a quarter of my tank I had just filled  oh and finally installed the injectors properly so they no longer leak like a sieve with pinched O rings.

Have the whole week off work so had a list of stuff i wanted to do to the car.
Yesterday i removed the teins with stock shocks and refitted the coilovers.
Broke dads jack in the process so it was stuck on axle stands the whole day
Today i took the teins off the shocks and took them to danch02 so he can remove his cobras as his car is very low in the front.

Tomorrows plan is to give the car a polish as the rear end is starting to fade again.

Then im going to have to figure out what to do till the drifting on sunday
