I've been through a few cars over the years, all modified in some form or other.
I recently bought an MX5 after selling my 300+hp WRX and using the money to fund it and a project bike. It was a shock to the system as I was so used to the power delivery of the WRX, it felt really slow!
The MX5 though, while it doesn't have much, it uses what it does have to great effect!
With a few mods my little NA is getting better all the time.
It came with hideous chrome 17's which just added weight.
I'd like it to be a bit of a fun carclub type car for doing motorkhana's and sprints/hillclimbs etc.
Mods so far include:
15" lightweight rims/tyres - Saving of 12kg!
Timing advance
Lowered springs
Trans oil
Pod filter
Removed number plate surround
Removed tie downs on the front
Exhaust - decat with a small coby, straight thru muffler
Currently working on a few things:
Roll bar, I have the main hoop manufactured, will be fabbing the stays/brace on the weekend then weld up next week.

Removing AC and Powersteering to liberate a bit of weight and simplify under the bonnet!
Removal of Charcoal canister
Installing a lip spoiler
Ideally later on i'd like to chuck some coilovers in to get it exactly where I want the height to be!
Pretty happy with it to be honest, not as fast as my old Lotus 7 in a straight line! just as good if not better round corners, seems to be more planted than my 7 was, I suppose its the IRS? and maybe a little more weight makes it stick pretty well.
A quick little car point to point on a twisty road, and excellent fun in the wet with the LSD.
