Top and side Strikers

question for those with factory fitted hardtops. Are the front (top of windscreen) and side striker brackets the same? When on the car they look very much the same but i havent seen them off the car side by side on the bench. I have a hardtop but dont have the side strikers but dont want to pay the mazda price for new ones. please check if you have side ones.

Nope. The side ones are different from the top ones

i have modified some top ones to fit the sides on mine

they are quite different

I got my side strikers from Mazspares in Rosebank Rd Avondale.

You have to exaggerate the shapes on the bracket

you need to take some out from under the hook to bring it up higher and take some out of the recess that the locator sits in so the top sits lower
