Protection for soft top glass window

Protection for soft top glass window

My car can not be garaged and the replacement vinyl window lasted only 3 years before sustaining UV damage. I have just replaced this with a glass window. What is the best way to protect the glass window from damage when unzipped and lying flat with the soft top down.
