Update 93 S-Spec
After rebuilding the engine twice (long story), it is all but run in
(1800km). I haven't put it back on the Dyno yet but the power seems
great. Torque is surprising for an 1800 and pulls very strong from
2000rpm and has a good kick from 5000rpm. More details after the Dyno
run in a couple of weeks.

We did some 0 - 100km runs this morning 9.27, 9.35 and 9.7, with 200kg
of passenger weight. With a bit more practice we could probably have
gone under 9.

Does any one else have 0 - 100 figures for NA cars? Unfortunately I
forgot to do a run before tearing down the engine, so even a stock
figure would be interesting.

I'm told there is an MX5 in the Targa, does anyone have any details on
the car?

There's actually two MX-5's in the Targa...

I went to Turners Auctions Yesterday (Sunday) evening with Clive, where the
cars were on display before starting out today...

There's a black one that belongs to a husband+wife team who also took part
last year... and a red one thats from Australia. Funnily enough, the red one
appears to have sponsorship (or at least, a sticker on the dash) from our own
Hamilton based MX5MART...

Clive stayed longer than me, perhaps he has more details?

Fletch.
Red '90. Many n/a mods and Link ECU

Hi Fletch, on our recent trip to Aussy, Don and I called into MX5Mania in
Sydney. They are involved in the Aussy entry and said they had purchased the
engine off Ros at MX5Mart, so I guess you could say it is a Kiwi/Aussy entry.

Did either you or Clive get photos for topDown ? I hope so !!!

Hi All; I sold the 1800 NB engine, brakes and a variety of other parts to
Owner driver Adam Spence. He has made a nice job of this car and I look
forward to seeing how it goes.I will be at Cambridge tommorrow (Tue) at 1
oclock when all the cars are there for lunch. They will be at Taupo Tuesday
night.Get along when they come through your town this week on the way to
Wellington. Ross.
