Fletch,
where can I get them leads for $ 50-70??? Paid over a $100 (with club discount)
from Mazda Dealer last time ...
It is 3 years ago so maybe I should replace them.

PS. I am in the Auckland area.

Spark plug leads
Ok, you've caught me out... that price was a guess...
NGK blues currently are US$30-$35 in the USA.
I'm currently still using Australian Repco leads which cost me AUS$50 in
1996. They use Champion branded wire... and have lasted over 150,000km
I also own a set of NGK blues, purchased in NZ, at a more recent date I dont
recall, from a Mazda dealer for a price in the region of NZ $70-ish...
around 2000?
Back when a '90 MX-5 was "worth" $18-20,000, Repco NZ didnt carry spark-plug
wires, but since the influx of imports, maybe they do? Ande maybe they now
stock their house-brand? Dunno? I hapened to be travelling to Melbourne at
the time (2 days after failure), so I was fortunate...
Either way, NGK blues are locally available, and the NZ$ has climbed since I
first bought them... So they should be in the same price region?
If local equivalents are not economic, then US$ purchases become more viable
(with shipping included).
Some purchases need to be done quickly, especially if we're talking about an
only car (like mine), but if its not your daily driver, dont be afraid to
purchase overseas, as long as you take shipping and GST (only applicable to
$400+ purchases) into consideration... US airmail often arrives in less
than 10 days...
