I have read about people fitting air flow meters from a late eighties rx7 to their mx5's, as apparently they plug straight in and flow much better. But I believe you have to pull them apart and modify springs in them in order have the right resistance on the flapper (my tech term) so that the computer gets the fueling correct. Its all a bit beyond my capabilities but it sounds very dodgy. Is the Astina meter a direct fit with no mods needed?

Any of the larger AFM's will need recalibration to match a 1.6.
