Hi all,
Over the weekend the bolt that holds the guiding rollers for my
supercharger belt onto the engine has sheared off, the rollers fell out of
line, and I lost my sc belt. Not the best thing to happen on an uphill
passing lane whilst casually pasing cars in 5th gear (superchargers rock!)
Has anyone had this happen? I need to know if there was anything special
about the bolt, or can I replace with anything that fits, and also has
anyone got the part# or specs for the SC belt for a Sebring supercharger
on a 1600 NA engine?
Thanks
Duncan
PS, for the first hour or so of driving my now naturally aspirated mx5 it
felt so gutless I couldn't believe it, but coming home the next day I was
totally used to the different power characteristics and was able to enjoy
the drive. It showed me how lazy I had been with my gear changes etc, I
had to remember how to change down again...and I didn't notice the lack
of power at all in the twisty bits : )
supercharger bolt snapped
