Hi zorruno (or anyone else)
Every time I drive the MX for more than an hour I get a pretty sore lower back
too, usually when I stand up and try and walk somewhere. So I was wondering if
you had any success, and if so have you any tips that may be of use before I
embark on some experimentation.
Cheers

You used to be able to get what was called a "Lumbar Roll" from the Chemists,
I had a couple of them. They are like a 75-100 mm diameter roll of medium-soft
foam in a cloth outer and worked a treat.
cylindrical over it's length, not squeezed together at the ends like a
sausage, if you get my meaning. That way it locates itself across your back,
rather than trying to slip out the side.
Hope that helps
Regards
Eric

I used to have that problem.
The solution I found was to slide the seat forward and then lean it back
a little bit more.

I have something similar. It's a "D " shaped piece of foam rubber, cloth
covered. A friend who worked in a hospital "borrowed" it for me. The flat
side
of the "D'" goes against the seat and the round side against your lower
back. After a few kilometres you can' even feel its there but at the end
of a long drive you don't get out of the car looking like a cripple.
Cheers

My wife and I have just got back from doing a 2000km trip around the top
of the south Island, (Is there a better run for a mx5 than the Reefton to
Springs junction saddle road) anyway we both have had the problem of the
crook lower back, so this time we squeezed a small towel in behind the
seat padding and hey presto we both had a pain free trip.
