Auckland servicing experts / alarm installers

Hi, everyone

Firstly apologies - Im sure that this has been asked & answered - but I
couldnt find a thread that helped me.

Ive just bought a 1990 V Special - the realisation of a long-standing dream
& the culmination of a long hunt! Expect to see me at club events soon ..

Anyway - the car needs a thorough by the book service on engine,
suspension & bodywork by someone who knows their MX-5s. Thereafter I expect
to be able to do the routine stuff myself - however I need to know Ive got
a good base to work from.

Who would you recommend in the Auckland region - ideally North Shore or
eastern suburbs ??

Also - Im thinking of getting an alarm installed. Maybe with microwave /
tilt sensors - not sure yet. Thoughts on the benefits of going with the
extra sophistication ??

And the same question ... who would you recommend in the Auckland region -
ideally North Shore or eastern suburbs ??

Hi Greg,
Can't help with a service agent, but i have used Automotive Securty Systems
at 21 Poland Rd Glenfield to install both my stereo and my alarm. Total
satisfaction and the price was competitive

First, welcome aboard Greg!

I'll defer to those who can help you with advice for the N Shore,
however if you decide to consider "crossing the bridge" I'll check my
archives and put my thinking cap on.

Hi Greg,

I think Glen at Rotary Power in Glenfield knows MX5s pretty well. I've
never used him myself, but I know several people who swear by him.

As for Alarms, I'd highly recommend a Dynatron alarm fitted by Resonic in
Albany. Mine was fitted 5 years ago and it has performed flawlessly since
then. We got another one for our other MX5 a couple of years ago and it
has been perfect too.
