I have recently purchased a jap import 98 mx5 NB , and found to have a speed
limiter at 180kph.Don't ask how I found this out! I read on some UK sites that
you remove a screw from a circuit board from behind the speedo in an NA mx5 to
disable the limiter ,is this so for an NB.If not does anyone know how?

I'm not 100% sure of this answer, but I vaguely recall Bob Hall (ex editor of
Wheels magazine, ex employee of Mazda, credited with giving Mazda the idea of
building a small lightweight sports car) mentioning in one of his posts at
www.miataforum.com suggesting that it wasnt so easy after about 1994 or 1996,
as the made the speed limiter part of the ECU rather than such an easy
work-around as had been in the earlier cars...
Of course, you tested this feature on a closed road/course didnt you?
Fletch.
