No More Speed Cameras - Please

Post by MX5PWR » Tue Apr 06, 2004 5:43 pm

What started out as a simple enquiry has now got , to say the least, silly !!
Judging by the number of emails on the list each night when I get home ( in
excess of 50 so far) on this subject, a lot of unproductive time is being
accumulated around then country durring work hours. What was a simple traffic
fine for breaking the law (be it 9k or 11k it is still breaking the law) has
now cost the country in unproductive man/woman hours.
The time that has been spent on this one topic would have put together several
editions of topdown mag.
I belong to the list to gain knowledge re our cars and club that can be of
benefit to myself and other members and assist in putting together the club
mag , not having to spend half an hour each night wading through pointless
messages that start to get personal.

Lets use the list for what it is intended for.

Ok I am tired and grumpy but can now go and relax and get ready to send out
this months Topdown that has just arrived from the printers.

Thank you Nigel for articulating what it took me about three or four
emails on the list to unsuccessfully try to communicate.

PS: God bless America, NZ and the Queen :-) --- in that order :-)

If I was "in essense a Real Estate Salesman" or indeed a Real Estate Agent I
would have been bound by law to state so on my page. I do from time to time
employ Agents to utilise the services of the Real Estate industry to dispose of
properties.

Just for the record , based on your web site am I correct in concluding you are
a con-sult-ant in Auckland :)

Grow up mate, or if nothing else expodentially acquire some maturity.
Ross summed it up best "That kind of "cute" blanket slur is unworthy...
of this list... of kiwis in general... and maybe even of you."

Chill out mate, you're exhibiting your pathetic sense of low self-esteem
and deep rooted insecurity.

For God's sake it's the list Police again. Must everyone only talk about MX5's
all the time. If you don't like it, there are options.

Even low self-esteem and insecurity has it's place.

No doubt under abstract circumstances probably so, but at the risk of
reiterating what Ross suggested, not on this list! Save it for your
shrink or equally dysfunctional mates

Lou, so it is alright for you to state you opinion and to engage in personal
attacks on contributors to this list, but the minute I express an opinion I am
accused of being the list police and told I know what I can do aren't you
being hypocritical? If I was the list Police, your access would have now been
withdrawn.

There is no problem with discussing topics other than MX5's but it is the tone
of some of the discussion and the point less regurgitation that is causing
current and future members to stop using the list which is a shame as it is a
good source of information.

If I was to use the same tone and attitude when putting together the topdown
mag, to that which is currently being voiced on the list, imagine what a
boring negative magazine it would be.

Please refrain from personal attacks, you don't know who is reading these
contributions!!
