Sounds good Chris,
Although i dont get up to Auckland much, maybe we
could do it as part of a run or tech day if there
arent enough takers.Im sure if we took some of the Non
"darksiders" for a spin in our turbo's they would soon
be off, with a turbo on top of the shopping list!!!

My T1-R's arent that noisy, Certainly quieter than my
grid II's that i had on, They do seem to be noisier
than normal on particular sort of chip grade but there
isnt much of that around here!
If you have the choice of T1-R's and GSD3 at the same
price then i pity your decision. The GSD3's are
supposed to be just a fraction better than the T1-r's
but i have also heard that they are noisier than
T1-r's too. so you never can be too sure.
I picked the toyos because they are generally cheaper
enough to forget about the 1/1000 diff from the
GSD-3's.
(oh and if you dont like them at least they are only
going to be on there for 30,000 ks so you can always
change!!!)

Guys (and Girls),

There are a few people with a lot of knowledge out there about 'slapping on
a turbo' and some of us with some knowledge but want (and need) to learn
more.

I'm thinking about organizing a short run followed by some food (BBQ?) and a
technical / question / design session specifically around forced induction,
and the associated upgrades.

It gives you a change to show off your car and discuss the war stories about
the installation.

If you interested - please let me know. If you are out of Auckland - I can
probably arrange free accommodation (nothing too flash) if you are
interested.

Complete with HKS Turbo Manifold, T28 Hybrid turbo, HKS External Wastegate,
Evo VII intercooler, Greddy Type RS BOV, 460cc Injectors, FMLink ECU
(installed) - and a distinct lack of knowledge on how to plug it all
together.

elitist :)... Turbo... or FI

wish I could come along to show the other side of the dark side.

It would be good to take people for a ride / drive in both a turbo and
supercharged 5 so they can see the difference.

the drive from Wn to AK is a bit much just for this though, sorry.

I'd be in for that. A dyno day would be good too.

Cheers
Mike.
