Small number plate

Post by mikey » Tue Feb 14, 2006 8:35 pm

Evening,

Anybody know of any place in Akl where I can get a small number plate made up
for me?

I did a google search of the mx5club website to no avail, though there seemed
plenty of historic discussion on the legal aspects of fitting one.

Thanks!

Hi Mike,
We spoke to a bloke from Wanganui who makes small plates. Think they were
stick on ones.
"Andy's Screenprints & Signs".
If you don't get any joy close to home you could try him - Andrew Deighton

Just be aware and be prepared to pay the $250 fine if you get pulled up.

Yes! My friend (OK zorruno an acquaintance) got a ticket on Sunday a week and
a half ago for a normal size but sticker type number plate. Thought it was
$200 though can;t be sure.

I cut down the standard issue plate on a dropsaw.Ive done it a few times now
for others as well and never had a problem, then its small enough to screw
straight on the bumper. You trim down all around to 5mm away from the
characters so keep the plate unmodified. You still have your original issue
plate just a bit smaller.Ross.
