Re: Letter to the MinisterMark,

Just a thought, should this be associated with the MX5 Club or is it a private
thing (either way would suitme) if it is a club thing, then probably we need
some input from the commitee

Re: Letter to the MinisterHi Eric - good point.

This represents a private approach with basically my name and address on it
And the names of indivdual people who are supporting it (the letter).

There's no mention of the MX5 Car Club or forum, because that would be highly
improper of me to do that without the club's express permission.

Just want to say many thanks again to all who've pledged - it's terrific
response.

Cheers

Well i got the exhaust done today. All 2.5" with one
resonator and a semi baffled rear muffler. its barely
louder than stock at idle,(even with the huge 90mm boy
racer exhaust tip.) and very unobtrusive at cruise.

Ive yet to recieve my boost sensor from the states, so
ive made up a basic fuel and timing map based on
airflow voltage from the meter,
HOLY CRAP! this thing is faster at 1/4 throttle with
the turbo than it ever was with induction mods at full
throttle! it boosts at barely a touch of the throttle
at anything above 2500rpm.
ive been very careful not to give it the "big Welly"
as im not confident of the basic tuning map ive given
it.
Next step is to finish a few electronic bits and
pieces for the engine management system and then dyno
tune, then Cert on the 23rd.
"slydit" AKA "Force fed five!"

Ill post all the latest pics tomorrow night.

Well if ever there was a time to be considering
shipping my MX5 to Australia it would be now..
all your hard earned money was spent by the labour
"government" on election bribes.
Theyve been riding an economic wave that wasnt made by
them and now things are about to hit the fan they dont
know what to do...
Clarke and cullen are about to put this country in the
S*&T and theres nothing we can do about it...
Id say that any extra tax revenue gained from petrol
is going to be spent on plugging the BIG ASS leak in
the economy...
dont expect it to be spent on roads...

Letter to the Minister

Post by MadMaz » Sat Feb 11, 2006 11:56 pm

Re: Letter to the MinisterGidday Glen

That's funny - I've posted this reply twice and it hasn't gone through - I'll
give it this one last try.

You subject line says add me too - so will do - (as as I should have said B4)
but let me know if I'm not right here.

Yep, hear what you're saying loud and clear. I'm going to give it a jolly
good go though to extract the truth from David Parker, starting with the
letter being e-mailed tomorrow at 3.00 pm

Hey that's fantastic to read how well your project's going. Boosting from
as low 2,500 rpm! The VR4 I had didn't really start coming on song till
3,000 rpm and most of the Sti's I've driven about 3,500 rpm.. With a boost
coming on at 2,500 the car must feel like it has "big block" low end torque
performance
characteristics.

Looking forward to seeing your photos tomorrow.

Hey by the way, how many psi are you running at maximum boost? I used run
12 on the street and 18 for the track in the VR4. No, I don't think I could
do that many beers at once! Well not remaining standing up anyway!

Cheers Glen
