NB NA Swap (Airbag)

Post by Angreal » Tue Dec 20, 2011 12:11 am

I'm doing the NB NA interior swap and got the airbag module out from the new dashboard. Seeing as I never had an airbag to begin with and the current one has been triggered, how do I remove the trim off the module so I can get a cover fabricated? Is the best approach just to saw along the metal rod so that it slides straight off?

Thanks

there will be like fifty small tabs holding the plastic cover onto the metal airbag you should be able to pry them apart without cutting anything

Haha prying them off is so obvious. I can't believe I didn't think of that one. I tried many things including bending, pushing, squeezing and then decided I was going to get my hands on an angle grinder and try cut slots into each one
