Hey Grant, this is Great. I was always told that once you let the smoke out of something electrical, you could never put it back and the item was efectively carput. Now I won't ever have to worry about letting the smoke out of the box ever again .

This is rather well aligned with the “Dark Sucker Theory” derived by Roger M. Wilcox sometime in the 80’s. The theory in it’s simplest form being that light bulbs don’t actually emit light, rather they suck dark, hence when a light bulb is blown it goes black, or when a torch battery is worn out, it’s actually full, thus if you cut it in half it’s all black inside. J
