Blower Weakness

Post by jakx784 » Wed Jun 05, 2019 1:05 pm

Hi there,

New to the mx5 life, recently bought a 92' na mx5. Came with a bunch of strut braces etc and Bilstien Suspension. However, it's meant to be my daily and that's mildly more difficult when my heater doesn't blow properly. I can hear the motor/fan going but you can hardly feel it on the vents. I know one of the previous owners deleted the A/C so that's not a concern. It has power steering etc.

Any advice on this would be really helpful.

P.S

Sorry if this is in the wrong section #Firstpost

When you says the previous owner deleted the A/C, how much did they take out? There should be a big black box behind the passenger's glove compartment. This is the A/C evaporator. If they removed or modified this, the air from the blower might not be getting to the heater unit.

I know they took the compressor itself off and switched belts etc. I'll get under the glovebox and take a look today
