Slow window problem

Post by LXFX » Fri Aug 18, 2006 8:10 pm

I have had to replace the passengers side power window actuator after the cable snapped. javascript:emoticon('')

It now comes down fine ( same speed as the Drivers side) but is very slow going up (go and have a coffee slow!)

Any thoughts / suggestions / solutions from the collective wisdom?javascript:emoticon('')

TIA,

I recently had a similar problem in that my window cable snapped. I replaced the cable - in fact I did the diamantling and re-assembling several times before it was done properly. I am pretty sure that one reason that min did not go up and down properly was that the window was not aligned correcly. It was possible to loosen off a number of the bolts and make sure all was fine before tightening them up again. I am in Auckland if you want some help, or loan of manuals.
