Clear tail lights on TradeMe - any good.

Post by poison » Sun Jun 11, 2006 8:01 pm

I can never make up my mind on the clear tail lights issue but the ones on trademe at about $210 look OK as they have the clear indicators (I'm not keen on the ones with red indicators).

Has anyone bought any? And fitted them?

Any comments would be appreciated.

It looks like they are from Europe as they have the red lens on the right for the rear fog lights (Look at the left on the whole thing is clear/white)...

I have also noticed that they have simply photoshoped the lights on and are not actually on any car, hate to say it but unless I actually see them on a car there might be fitment issues... :?

Have them on my Roadster and they complement the silver finish very well indeed. The previous owner had them added so I don't know where they sourced them.

FWIW, I can observe that a non-MX5 I was following yesterday with similar style lights suffered from "insufficiently distinct indicator" syndrome. In other words, I didn't notice the blinky blinky as much as as I'd expect to for the more usual colour scheme.

Don't know if that was just momentary inattention on my part or a genuine issue with these; just thought I'd mention it.
cheers,

To me they just look different, not necessarily better.

I have them on my car, but i have the red indicators... they were fitted before i brought the car but the previous owner had no trouble. The ones on Trademe are at a very good price, i have looked around and i have only found ones that are over $250, i got mine from Trademe and the look awesome
