Has anyone put a 52mm gauge into a centre air vent on an NA? If so, did you use the original 'eyeball vent surround assembly' and a 'push fit' as I am not sure how the facia surround would otherwise be secured as the two uppermost fixing screws above and behind the eyeball vents cannot be reached, right?
Cheers

a 52mm guage will fit inside the vent housing assly where the ball comes from.
a 60mm guage will fit in the hole with the vent assembly removed completely

One of my 52mm gauges was a snug fit while the other was loose so i used a dab of black silicon

Yep done this with my car, have a look at my car profile if you want I have a picture of them on there. Same here just a dap of silicone holds them very well.

Thanks guys...
I have a 52mm A/F guauge already mounted in the drivers vent (within the eyeball)housing and the 'push fit' seems to work ok.
So just to clarify, using the same technique, how is the centre facia surround secured? Screwed in first then 52mm temp guage inside the gutted vent just pushed into place, or screws left out so that facia can be easily removed if necessary? Sorry to be so pedantic but need to get a good handle on what will work...don't want things falling out during a race!

Once you have the eye-ball out the gauge is usually a snug fit in the fascia ring & then when pushed home in the dash hole it usually stays there...or a dab of silicon...no screwing anywhere required
