GIVING KARMA - Rules of engagement...

Post by zorruno » Wed Apr 11, 2007 4:00 pm

NEW FEATURE! - Karma

You can now give members some posive or negative feedback (Karma) for their posts at a click of a button.

Listed below each members' username when they post (and in their profile) is their Karma rating.

If you see a [+] and a [-] button beside their rating, you can add to their positive or negative Karma by clicking either [+] or [-]

You should add to their positive Karma when they are helpful to yourself or others, or you think they deserve some praise. Adding to their negative Karma can be done too... but only if you think someone really deserves it (This is not a nice thing to do)

Use Karma wisely... once you've clicked to add [+] or [-] Karma for someone, you won't be able to give any Karma to anyone else for a while (the buttons will dissappear, but will eventually return).

If you are a new user, you won't be able to give Karma for a while.

Giving Karma at the moment is anonymous (but can be tracked by the Admins). Please be sensible and fair with your Karma allocation.

The Admins reserve the right to balance people's Karma... with NO QUESTIONS ASKED so don't complain if your Karma suddenly changes one day for no reason.

Note that this Karma feature is considered a test at the moment, if it gets abused, or starts to get silly, it will just be switched off.
