8" wide 15'' Advanti Rims on NB with 205/15/50 tyres

Post by Lion1974 » Wed Jan 18, 2017 10:57 am

Hello,

I have done a bit of research and this is what I would like to put on my NB, likely Advanti Storms. Two questions please.

1) Any issues getting a WoF with this tyre size on this rim?
2) Does anybody know the differnece between the Advanti Storm 1and the Advanti Advanti by Advanti Racing N719 listed in NZ by mag and turbo? They appear to be quite similar.

Advanti Storm and Advanti N719 are the same wheel.

You might have trouble with a warrant, depending on where you go. I don't think there is a tyre that is legally allowed on an 8" rim. Check what the recommended rim sizes are for the tyre you are thinking of using.

Thanks for the replys so far.

I emailed Hyper Drive NZ about the Advanti N719 anf they said it weighed 10.54 kilos where i belive the stornm is about 5-6 kgs form the Goodwin site.

Does that sound right for the Advanti N719 ???? I twould be far to heavy for the mx-5. Unless they gave me the weight of a bigger rim by mistake??

I just called the importer and they list the weight of the 15x7 N719 as 9.5 kg. Honestly I wouldn't say this is too heavy for an MX5 but I'm not a wheel expert and my car is just a daily driver. I might order some on Monday or Tuesday next week, if you like I can weigh one of the wheels before putting tyres on.

Good-win lists the Storm as being between 10 and 11 pounds, which is about 5-6kg I think http://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda-Pe ... -1399.html so sounds like they might be nearly identical looking wheels with different construction.

A while ago I contacted YHI NZ and they quoted me 5.15 kg for the 15x8 N719.
