Hey guys,
While I'm waiting for my VR6 to sell to give me extra cash on my car. I've been looking at some 14's to stick on it, wondering what people have lying around? I'm thinking of getting some daisys and painting them black, cheap, easy and light.
My current wheels are ok, but they aren't very well fitted for my car (not hubcentric) and they're marked to hell.
What are people running on their cars? I'll upload a better photo of my wheels when I get home but heres a rough idea of what I've got at the moment:

My biggest complaint with the daisys is the width, SO hard to get traction with them..

Really? I'm not turbo yet, when I do go turbo it'll probably be some 15x8 or 15x7. Maybe 16's if they fit nicely. But for now while I spend my money on all the other little bits since the MX5 doesn't need much more than 185s in stock form.

Put it this way. In the dry, on a factory 1.6, I can spin daisys no sweat. Can spin 15x7's depending what rubber is on them, in the wet I can light them up.

How? What tyres do you have on them? And how is your diff? I've got an LSD that seems overly tight, and I have Pirelli P6000s on the rear. To lose traction I'd have to rev it up and dump the clutch.

My 15x7's are Hero HZ1's and they're brand new. Open diff and the diff itself is in great condition.

What about some stock NB wheels? Could look good on a NA?
Ex: 1991 BRG NA6, 1998 White RS, 1997 Wine Merlot M Edition

Those NB rims look just like my ROH rims! Although I'm on 16's at 205/45, plenty of grip and don't look like roller-skates.

I run daisies with Dunlop Star Specs, and it's no piece of piss to get them to spin in the dry. Even in the wet with hard take-off they generally don't spin.
Maybe you can break traction easy with poor quality or dodgy tyres with factory 1.6 power, but quality tyres make a hell of a difference.

I have a set of Daisy's here with crappy tyres, you can have them for $20 or a box of beers.

I'm just look for a couple of 15" ones that I can shove on the back for skid days etc so I don't toast my semi slicks at these sorts of things, so if anyone hears of a partial set etc.
