Slotted Rotors
Quick question to see if anyone knows the answer, but with slotted rotors does it matter which part of the slot hits the pad first, being either the top leading edge on the outside of the rotor, or the bottom edge closed to the hub.
Normally it is dependant on the vent vanes, but the rotors I have vent from the centre out no matter which way they rotate, but someone has mentioned to me that I should still have the outer edge of the slot hit the pad first.

Yeah, had read that before, my rotors are running a Kangaroo Paw system so they don't have vanes leaning in any direction and will vent inside out no matter which way the rotor spins.WideOpenThrottle wrote:Have a read

By the looks of it, there doesn't seem to be any great advantage either way, as long as the cooling is right.
slotted rotors
probably bit late now but 4 future reference I purchased Big Brake kit from goodwin Racing was lucky enuf to have directional arrows embossed on each disc the OUTSIDE edge of the slots hit the calipers first bummer really as look far better wen inside edge hit 1st Gud Rotoring Coxie

Ahh, they are different from mine (your one's are crossed drilled as well?), as yours are directional vanes for cooling so have to rotate a certain way for them to suck the air thru, the DBA Kangaroo Pawed ones can go either way as far as the venting goes (or that's what they say). That's why your were embossed with the rotation direction on them.
