If it is just the cables then I've found MX5 Parts to be one of the cheapest suppliers. Their administration and shipping is the up most professional and you'll be surprised just how quickly items arrive in the mail. http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/product_info.php/products_id/451 - Dave From tonebeats@ya...

Soft-top cover (was OK to leave hood down?)

I think the usual forum price is about $50. See if Ross has any. Or try www.mx5mania.com.au , they're making a few NB race cars so won't have a need for the top covers of those cars. www.MX5Parts.co.uk are excellent to deal with but they want 175 quid ! Tyre recommendations Nangkings??

Nankangs are used alot by the Drift racers..

One of my mates put a new set on his stockish WRX (in 2wd mode)

It lasted 5 laps of the track drifting before it exploded.

Noise? Well I don't notice the noise from my T1-Rs, but I have a louder intake and exhaust. On very flat tarmac they'll chirp when testing the traction limit, but not as easily and loudly as some tyres. The Michelins that came on the NB were fantastic tyres, just expensive. Don't buy the T1-S they're likely old stock and have been sitting around
awhile.

The T1-R's are an improvement on the T1-S and you'll know the stock is
fresher.

I ran the Toyo T1-S's originally and the T1-R's since Nov 04 they're great.

G'day Simon and Zena, Well I'd class the GR80 and the C-Drive as a "touring tyre". Perfect for your Ford/Holden/Taxi. But you want your MX-5 to grip through corners. I run the Toyo T1-R's, they're a great tyre. Good in the wet and seem to last well. Also consider the Bridfestone Potenza S-03 http://...

odo readings

There's no policing the odometer readings at auction in Japan.

To change the odometer it's as simple as changing the dash gauge cluster
(takes about 5 minutes)..

A local car should have the odometer readings written on all the service
receipts.

Congrats Glenn !

That heatshield looks great, what ECU are you using?

Would be great to get ride of that restrictive AFM.

What sort of PSI will you be running?

Going to pull apart an electric tyre pressure gauge and adapt into a boost
controller?
