very nice. where did you get the bulb from? The chrome amber build was from Supercheap, the pins where slightly off-set so just filed one off to make it fit the plug. LED Sidelights were also from there. Yo can buy cheaper from the net, but it was one of those couldn't wait things i wanted to do. L...

You've been de-tangoed!

Today was spent taking the front lights apart to remove the orange indicator lens. I replaced the bulbs with chrome/orange and the park lights with 9-led's which are much brighter. Before and after photos!! A job well done, i used the misses hairdryer to warm the sealant then gently prized them apar...

Mazda changed oil guage sender in 93 or 94. A 1.8 model has no proper guage unless someone replaced the sender. An older model does constant change over the rev through 2-6 depends on the oil temp and condition of oil. some 1.8s do have a proper gauge, mine is one of them as it does change across t...

Are you sure you have a proper oil pressure sender or do you just have the switch. The early NAs had a proper guage and sender however, at some stage, in thier wisdom, Mazda changed the sender to a switch so the guage was just reading an on/off signal. This could explain what you saw on the guage i...

Photos, plates and oil shock!

We want pics! A good stereo is essential to the enjoyment of any car IMO, sounds like you have a damn good setup. Having the new rear panel of the roof fitted tomorrow, fitted new number plates today as the front looks like it was trashed with a few tow bar reversing/parking incidents. Does any one...

BBS Wheels

found out from reading the USA forum that the wheels on my motor are the BBS 14" rims that are lightweight. There are in good nic with centre caps and removal spanner. I read the centre caps alone are worth a fair bit.

Nice wheels, may have to get them refurbed. :D

Carbon Wrap

Think I'm going to go down the carbon wrap route, can get a film for $115 and looks easy to apply. And if I come to sell it, can be just peeled off and removed.

Any one tried?

Simjen, if you made a few bolt in ones similar to the browns davis design for under $500 I would be keen as mustard and I'm sure one or two others here would be as well. Was talking to Darryl (R3SPCT) about doing something but we'd have to buy a pipe bender to get it underway so you're already a st...

Been busy modding

Bit of an intro, recently, well two weeks ago I brought a Eunos 1.8 v-special I think, it's Laguna blue and has some fancy yellow shocks, engine brace and a black hard tops well. Bodywork needs some tlc but not bad for a car of its age. So far, the door spring broke, luckily I already had the door c...

Hard top respray - Auckland

Anyone know anyone who is any good at respray work in Auckland, looking for a good quote to repaint the hardtop, either gloss black or Matt black look. Some of the panel beaters want in excess of a $1000 which seams very steep indeed.
