I've never heard of a winking problem before - I thought that was only an
mr2 specific problem?! :)

are you sure it can't be fixed without replacing the motor? what exactly
are the symptoms?

185/60-14" tyres?

love my 711s! (actually 710s but not a huge change in design). A great all round tyre & very forgiving. The difference between grids and 711s is noticeable (to me anyway), and I think worth more than the $40 per tyre. I paid close to $300 for my last 2 710s. but in 16". I had 710s on my MX6 also. Gr...

Stickon front plates

Has anyone had any success getting an exemption from the LTSA for reflective non-standard plates on the front of a car? Or know any other way round having the ugly bulky aluminium job? no - but I'm trying to find out - nobody seems to want to show me the specific parts of the law... I got off my $2...

a little drive this evening....

If anyone is around auckland and is interested, a couple of us are going for a little drive this evening to visit some streets on the North Shore and in Ponsonby that are foremost in the Christmas lights and decoration stakes. We went one night last year, and it is spectacular driving through the st...

epistles welcomed - thank-you all for answers. :) I'll go with mazda OEM.

- just recently adjusted the hand-brake (yes at the rotor) and it is still
pretty poor.
- Recently lubed sliders and changed fliud - just pads to do next.

Flood damaged cars

I'll put the article on the web site - rumours are that a NZ mazda wrecker has bought some - not sure whether they bought them for parts or to resell. The New Zealand Herald this morning showed a photo of flood damaged cars imported from Japan. There were at least 2 MX5's (red & silver) amongst them....

Cost of MX-5/Eunos Roadster in New Zealand

Hi Carl

My guess would be to sell, and buy one here. Some prices are here
http://www.mx5club.org.nz/forsale/usedmx5/

Someone with better knowledge of the UK and NZ market would probably have a
better idea of costs etc however. We look forward to seeing you here.

note also that there are two types that exist - bolt to the boot type and
clip on type (removeable). Not sure where to get them though - Chic might
know and I think his is clip on. Chic?
