Sounds like a good foundation to build it up! The 1600 and 1800 bore spacing is different, so manifolds there aren't interchangeable, tho a BP one should fit on yours... but a Familia manifold points the other way to a mx5 one.    Mine made "only" ~220 rwhp but was a quick wee beastie ... something ...

IIRC - smaller gaps are for where you'd have trouble sparking with a bigger gap.  Iridium/platinum  sparks more easily than regular plugs, so I'd not make the gap any smaller unless absolutely necessary.
