Best way I could explain the differences would be a Exocet being a Skyline GTS and the Rhubarb being a Skyline GT-R Both are great packages and lots of fun But the Rhubarb has a Tigwelded Rollcage Material Chassis - designed and built by former F1/F2 Technicians and comes with custom Front control a...

Decided to give the old Girl a bit of a horsepower injection as she's been gathering dust in the corner of the workshop unloved for the past few months. So installed a fully forged BP 1800 engine Have upgraded the coils to a set of brand new LS-2 Coil per cylinder Added an AEM Water Methanol Injecti...

Unplug the idle control valve and see if that settles the idle If it does you've found the cause of the problem - Dunk it in a container of Brakleen or Heavy duty degreaser for 24 hours and give it a good scrub and blowout. If it doesn't make a difference - then it could be a lean hunt at idle So ch...

I'd say the stock injectors are well and truly maxed out even on 5psi
A smaller pulley is easy to do and will crank up the boost
Around 10-12psi will be fine with bigger injectors and a good tune
I have plenty of brand new 440cc Denso RX8 injectors in stock which are a bolt on upgrade

Hi Timmo As for replacement triggerwheels - we only fit them on the NB1600 and NB1800 engines You just remove the old low resolution 4 tooth wheel and fit our 36-1 triggerwheel, it's a bolt on fit as it's exactly the same as the original version just with more teeth But............ it's not needed o...

TD05-16g for an 1800 engine is the best turbo around I'd tried lots (and I mean lots) and nothing comes close in terms of response, power and price. 300hp at the wheels on 20psi is a doddle with room for more scope. If you want more topend then you can put on a TD05-20g If you want more response you...

This aint the 1950's mate The T3/4 is a piece of shit diesel turbo that was designed in 1951 and is probably the worst turbo on the market I struggle to comprehend why people still bolt them onto engines Although it's normally Nissan owners which is self-explainatory A nice Subaru Td05-16g will easi...

Nope The power is determined by the supercharger rather than the engine If you want 200kw ATW - then you need an Eaton M90 which is huge and will poke through the bonnet which will make you look silly, get attention from the police, use lots off fuel and cost plenty to install you have a Nb1800 with...

Nope - unless you want to run NOS
Even 200kw ATW is a lot for a Turbo B6
You need to take a 150kw ATW MX5 for a drive first - you might be surprised
200kw ATW is almost too much for a streetcar

We can use the Mini R45 blower It's slightly smaller but spins faster than the Sc14 so makes more power But anything over 190hp at the wheels and you have to go turbo As for power figures - if you email me at MEGASQUIRT@FARMSIDE.CO.NZ I can send through some dynosheets of my Turbo Mx5 Racecar that m...

Not sure
Never really fuddled around with that sort of setup as time spent on sub-par setups just wastes money that could be spent doing it properly
I'm sure Dr Google will be able to help though. :)

Using the Mini Supercharger or a Sc14 Supercharger You're looking at around 180-190hp at the wheels (depending on exhaust) with a Water/Meth Injection kit - or REALLY well designed intercooler. Not massive power - but a good spread of torque throughout the rev range. Pales in comparison when you can...

Unfortunately when it comes to the supercharger kit The NA8 is totally different, the mounts are different, throttlebody is different, the manifold has different angles etc So none of the kit will bolt up. We can do one for the NA8 but would have to be a total custom affair. So of course will be mor...

Here's a quick run down on the conversion costs The stock clutch will handle the power (just) if in good condition And the stock radiator will be fine too, if it's a street car If you plan to take it to the track - then you'll have to upgrade to an alloy radiator - they're cheaper than a standard on...

SC14 Supercharger Kit

as promised here's some pics of the newly redesigned supercharger kit. Got the Miata back from my engineer and he's done an awesome job of it all. 300kw at the wheels????? - You're obviously taking the piss. You going to need a HIGH paying job if you want that. The gearbox won't take it, the engine won't take it and the rear end won't take it. I think you need to go for a ride in a well sorted turbo MX5 with 180-200kw at the wheels and stop th...
