Great list - many thanks. I'll look forward to the RSS feeds coming live. I use Feedreader 3.09 and it's really good.

I'd be more than happy to lend a hand with the site admin. :D

It might even inspire me to get my A into G and join the Kapiti chapter (which I really should do anyway)

Interestingly enough it did it with FF as well, but thanks for the tip on the add-ons, I'll take a look at those.
I assume that that rubbish comes from the hosting company.

Brent - welcome to the world of MX5 owners. Regarding the Kapiti MX5 chapter website; I have to say that as an IT security guy I really hate websites that try to install software on your PC when you enter them, which is what happened when I just tried that Kapiti MX5 site. It's not a nice introducti...

Hi Z No, I'm not at all upset :D I think the email software side of the forum as brilliant. For me it mixes the convenience of the email "list" with the great things a forum can provide. But I see now what you mean about it making the forum messy. Therefore as an email 'poster' I must also offer my ...

Non MX5 Radio - need suggestions please

As long as the FM specs say something like FM Tuning Range: 88.0MHz ~ 108MHz FM Tuning Steps: 100KHz you should be OK. If you are interested in AM as well then AM Frequency Range: 522KHz ~ 1710KHz AM Tuning Steps: 9KHz would also be good. Cheers Colin Silver 1992 NA DCE973 ==== Note from Moderator S...

Roof Stitching

Yes the instructions are there - no "I" would not attempt it. I did
contemplate it, but I think unless you have been shown how to do it by
someone experienced you could end up in a world of hurt :-)

Roof Stitching

I purchased mine off this seller. Excellent roof (original Robbins, with the zip out window). Cost me $700 + shipping (or there abouts). A local trimmer fitted it for me for $250.00 and said that it went on no trouble. I would recommend this guy without any worries at all. Colin. kiwipete wrote: [...]

Speaking of manual boxes

Being new to the MX5, my 92 takes quite a firm hand to change into 2nd gear, be it up from 1st or down from 3rd. There is no grinding or clunking, it just requires a reasonable amount of pressure. If I find the right rev range then 1st to 2nd can be quite smooth and easy. Is this usual for the model...

Here we go again - please ignore him - move on.

I am pleased to see that no one has replied to his other
email. Please don't !

I'd block his emails so I don't have to read his trash, but
this only works when everyone else IGNORES him.

Yours in ever hopefulness...

My new top has been on for about 2 weeks now. initially I had to stand outside, grab one of the roof cross bars with one hand and pull like heck with the other one to get the latches engaged. Its is now thankfully much better. Cheers Colin. Simon & Karen Senior wrote: [...] From ashworth@orcon.net.n...

Car immobiliser for insurance and the name of a good mechani

My insurance is through Westpac to Lumley Insurance. No
special conditions and no extra excesses for not having an
alarm etc.

Cheers
Colin.
