I would suggest this as it will save you a lot of time and hassle (obviously there is a price to pay for not building it yourself !)

Mine was the same. Bent mast and when I opened it up the plastic teeth part was in about 4 parts. It is fixable with a bit of patience. If you pm me with your address and maybe a contact number I can pop round and get the aerial out and back in for you if you want.

What do you mean by buggered? If it is just the fact the mast is not going up and down automatically a replacement mast from Mazda is about $47. About an hours work and you'll have a fully working aerial. If you need a hand doing it then give me a shout as I have recently done mine at the same time ...

Found this on another forum and thought I would share

The person involved with this has far too much time on their hands.
Very skilled work though and I for one am impressed by the final result.

After a few hours with my next door neighbours multi tool and spending $10 on some bulb holders from a Mazda dismantler I have got my light in and working on one side (all LEDs now!) Have posted up some pictures to show the difference. When the other light arrives from the UK I will do a guide to sh...

Hi. I think you can buy those clips in Repco/Supercheap auto and I have two spare if you only need that many. If your centre caps are flat then I can get some made for you from one of our customers but I would need an exact size for them to machine cut for you. PM me if you want any.

Yep the clear bulb is my current indicator bulb. Only using it to show what I meant by the odd angle and it is being replaced by amber LEDs and a ballast resistor. I guess I will have to buy a straight bulb holder and try to make an angled holder.

New LED tail lights

One of my new rear tail lights showed up from its long journey (ordered from a company in Germany then shipped to the UK and forwarded on to NZ and when they arrived they are made in Thailand ) Not sure where the other one is in the world but hopefully it will show up soon with the LED brake light I...

So far so good. I have for the levels about right now by setting the bass, mid and high frequency cut off frequencies. Have got the gain on the amp at about 3/4 of max and the same for the bass boost. I will try to get some pictures of what I have done with the headrest speakers tomorrow.

The fuse is mounted inside the boot. It is behind where the spare wheel sits. I did not mount it closer to the battery as it may have got knocked / broken when my golf clubs are wedged into the boot. I did resistance checks on both locations and the difference was negligible.

All finished and just some minor tweaking to do

Everything now fitted and working after a fairly intensive day and a half of labour over the weekend. I clicked on a buy it now for $199 for a Fusion underseat sub as recommended by others and went to collect it to be be told that the store selling it did not have any left. They did however give me ...

That looks nice. May go for one. How much does it affect the movement of the seat ( does it go all the way back still? ). I have taken the car apart today and it was not that difficult to remove the metal shelf ( about an hours work ) and I am not convinced that you would get a good enough fit to ma...

Is this a good or bad idea ?

Hi. I want to add some subwoofers into the car but don't want them seen. Not after massive bass just a bit more low down grunt that the component speakers I have recently installed don't have. (I am assuming that the crossover network is limiting the lower frequencies going to them). Also I can't pu...

Head unit in and working.

Got the head unit in and working this morning. Nice and simple to do as I just removed the mounting brackets from the old cassette player, screwed them in to the new one and used the wiring harness adapters from Repco to wire it in. Found solution to the small hole at the bottom of the new stero at ...

A bit of help needed please !

I have managed to remove the old head unit this evening and put the old mounting brackets from it on to the new head unit but now have a gap underneath (it was filled in by a small tray with the old cassette deck). Can you buy a panel to fill this gap? The old head unit looks like it is about a DIN ...

Spent two hours changing the roof from a mouldy brown colour to black. Bad news was I have a fairly significa...
