I don’t collect magazines, so if you give me your postal address I’ll send it on. You can judge for yourself if it’s any good.

Enkei wheels

Yes, thanks for your thoughts. I definitely like the look of 17s, but my other concern is the harder ride with a 45 profile tyre on King springs. I’m running 205/50 Eagles on factory 16” rims at present, and found the slightly higher profile a softer ride. I’m hoping this might work again if the upr...

Oh Yeah !!! Love the look of these – and the weight! Don at Autoway is fitting a new set of KYB shocks and King springs at the end of the month, so will wait until she’s dropped a bit to decide on 16’s or 17’s, and new shoes (T1-R’s). Having said that, I just spoke with a guy at Mag and Turbo, who r...

Clutch judder (shudder, chatter)

Hi All, Have just obtained a 2002 titanium grey mx5 with 18K on the clock andhave just discovered it has the dreaded clutch judder. Generally when cold, but occasionally at other times. I'm aware of a service bulletin covering this problem with 2001 to 2003 MX5s in New Zealand, but, as the car...

Where are all the Tauranga MX5s?

Hi Stevo, I can assure you there are quite a few of us around here! I guess we all can't be on theroad at the same time. I'm in Cherrywood, and it's a rare occasion if I don't see another when I head off into town. My last one (metallic green NA) went out to Ohauiti, and we quite often see it in the...

Ha !

I've had 2 MGB GTs and now 2 MX5's. I sure wouldn't go back to owning an MG
20 odd years in improved technology makea a helluva difference!!

Hi All,

Has anyone had their standard factory mags chromed ? Saw a pic of a 2001
(?) on the internet with chromed wheels and the profile looked like the
standard factory mags on my 2002. - very snappy

Yes Vince
That sounds good to both agendas. John probably discarded my email address
in disgust, due to my lack of response to attend the monthly meets and drives
etc. (Sorry John). Will meet up with you all on both dates.

Cheers!

Nina, I'm also surprised at the lack of boppers response. Hi All ! Am looking to replace the tyres on my 2002 and considering Goodyear GS D3's for a quiet ride. Also thinking about moving up a profile to 205/50's instead of 205/45's. The diameter difference doesn't seem enough to affect performance or speedo read-out, or am I wrong ? Opinions (keep it clea...
