Leg space can be increased by using a deeper dish. I run a deep dish wheel on my 'fun' cars as it allows me to get a little closer to the wheel without cramping my legs, and gives more space behind/under the wheel for heel toeing and other fancy footwork

Alot of exhaust noise reduction is done with a combination of a mid box and rear box. You might want to look at the systems that are used on cars that came with these engines as standard and try and copy the layout. You shouldnt fail WOF if you have removed pipes and blocked the holes with grommits. Youll only potentially fail if you have drilled new holes, or not blocked off any old ones at all. The 12v heaters I referred to should be available from any decent motorfactor, I cant find any from a quick googling...

My car has the two chrome frankenstein bolts that im willing to swap with the flush bolts as I dont have a hardtop. Unfortunately I removed and binned the side clamps in a fit of adding lightness so dont have those any more.
