Intermittent problem with wipers, windows
Probably find once the engine has been running for a few minutes something warms up, expands and makes the connection again. It's not unheard of in cars that age! I would definitely check all the earth points and someone on the Miata website in the USA will have doubtless recorded it for you Cheers ...

Anyone got one of these they want to part with for a reasonable price? Paying GBP21 before shipping costs grieves me I must say!!
Preferably the ones with a light in the switch that comes on when they are activated.
Thanks Stu

Would suggest its the main power feed into the lights then. I'm pretty sure that one side has the main input and then links across to the other which would reduce the issue to be that point and not the door switches. The only trickle charger I know of was a small one the size of the charger that powers Xmas lights and was a remacc alarms batt stabiliser on 06 844 1295. Just kept it topped up during the winter basically!

Mag Wheel Repairs - Auckland
We recently went down to the MX5 annual convention down at the Chateau (great fun!) and enjoyed a faultless drive there and back. This was primarily due to the mag wheel repair performed at Brugar Engineering at 7 Barrys Point Rd on the N Shore. Rodney is a whiz at these things (there are loads of t...

Sounds like the only way to be sure is to get the two side by side and try swapping them over!!
Why is life never simple..........

I think the norm is to be off, on and switchable - in that order on the 3 position switch so they are doing what they are supposed to do!

From my experience the panel trim needs to come off because the radio is actually screwed to the frame not sprung loaded. That means the gear lever console comes out first to get to the screws below it. Then the trim, then the radio. If it is one of the spring loaded models there's at least 20 diffe...

Hi Guys Our mirror is absolutely fine (swappa mirrors from Ross) but the near side one has a different shaped glass in it so everything appears much closer. Apparently this is a preference of the Japanese but we find the width of view too narrow. Any ideas where we can get the glass changed? Yes we ...

Worn Rubber
No I'm not. I actually replaced the gearbox gaiter at the same time and what a difference to the heat and noise coming through (as winter approaches it was suggested by HID that it would have been better to leave the ripped one in "as it kept the coffee and knees pretty warm"...hmm!). Note: getting ...

Hi Guys Hope those who braved the weather to the Coromandel had a good run!!? As for me I replaced the gear lever gaiter with a new Tan one and it looks really spiffy now. However, when I removed the nardi gear lever I realised just how badly worn/melted the rubber around the top was. Had noticed th...

Gearbox Gaiter
Greetings All We have obtained the bits for the gearbox gaiter repair from Ross but are there any issues I should be aware of before I start? I know the gear lever is screwed on (BRG V Spec) from underneath somehow so the rest is just a remove and replace? Any hints or a idiots guide greatly appreci...
