Had a manual rack in my old mx, much more preferable IMO.
Have you removed the piston/seal in the rack? Welded up the slop in the pinion valve setup?
Mine felt so much better after removing the slop.

De power your current rack and use that otherwise you get a higher lock to lock ratio which is shit for the track.

My poly bush kit from ebay came with new end link bushes. Unless you can move your steering rack, the bushes are fine. If you want to tighten them up pack a thin strip of Ali under the rack bush so the clamp squashes the bush more.

Ill race you Lopez, 6 laps of manfeild, your turbo engine vs my stock standard engine. I'd advise not painting it first because I don't want to have to repaint it to get rid of the nasty harlequin paint. The balls in your court.

From my own testing lag is way over dramatised. I cut 6-800mm out of my evos intercooler piping and had little to no effect on spool time in our datalogs. I then upgraded from a 600x300 75mm thick intercooler to a 100mm model and made more power and spooled faster even with the larger volume. We dro...

The split turbo opens up the way for a non direct drive turbine shaft, gearbox on the turbine shaft, no lag huge top end Why would that be of benefit though? You'd introduce transmission losses and complexity over a simple direct shaft from the turbine to compressor. Im no F1 engineer but in my evo...

There must be more weight to gut out if you wanted. Mine must be around 830-840 with a cage and we aren't allowed to go at the car with a hole saw or anything.

I meant how much oil did you put in when you compression tested it? The factory head gaskets go soft I've found, you often can't see where it's tracking like you can on a mls gasket. Check the valves as I suggested, will only take 5 mins. If it had a head gasket leak that was bad enough to drop the ...

Was a good first round, i managed 2nd overall with a 2nd, 7th and 4th. Racing is very tight, 1 missed gear and you loose 3 places as i found out
The handicap races involved a fair bit of panel damage for some!

Or dobis or kings which are available locally. My fronts are 180mm long with ample clearance. 200mm wouldn't be an issue.
I do run nb top hats which will make a difference.
