As summer's on it way, the track cars come out to play.

Everyone throw up their best lap times, cat tyre and what tyres you were running (street, Semi's, Slicks).

Pukekohe (New track)

Mine was on slicks, but only rear wheel drive and about 180hp at the wheels...but it did have a roof!

I did manage a 1.20 chasing a Datsun 1200 coupe with a bog standard N/A 1600 with old hard Yokahamas...

Can't remember my times at Taupo, never had a good run out there yet.

Hoping to drop each of these a second or so this season with a better spooling turbo from last season.....

Clearly not the fastest here but yesterday at Hampton downs my best lap was a 1.27.38. NB 1.8 on road tyres (RE 002)

holy hell 1.17 on Taupo 2 is a maaaaaaad time!
a mate has an evo 8 on slicks and his best is low 1.15's.
you must be carving the shit out of the infield!!!

As you know, Taupo 2 is all about acceleration, handling and cornering capability. With 280bhp/tonne and 255mm wide slicks, the car went like a scalded cat. A fun little circuit.

That was a brutal section though, a few cars definitely got caught by it, saw the 1200 coupe nearly end up in the trees at a fast pace in the top 10 shootout..
