Hey sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, i'm new here.
I just bought my first MX5 not too long ago it's a 1999 NB6C.
I'm just wondering if there are any differences between the NB6C and NA6 engines. I can't seem to find much info online about it.
Any parts I look at only mention NA6, NA8 and NB8's no NB6
Any recommendations on where to get parts from would also be very helpful cheers!

Re: NB6C engine different to NA6?
The NA6C engine as fitted to the NB model is very different to the NA6 fitted to the NA cars. There is very little information published about this engine as most of the info comes from the USA, and they never got the 1.6L NB.
If you are after service parts, the best place to go to is Broomfish Automotive Parts https://broomfish.co.nz/. Peter has both the water pump and timing belt kits for the NA6C.

Re: NB6C engine different to NA6?
The main differences between the NB6C and NA6C engines are in the cylinder head and ignition. The NB engine uses solid lifters with shims, the NA engine uses hydraulic lifters. The NB6 engine has a different coil pack and uses crankshaft and cam sensors for ignition timing (same as NB8C) as opposed to the CAS sensor of the NA6. The water pump and alternator are also different.
