Moss Motors via miatamania.com and Jackson Racing are both pushing the advantages of 'Power Card' - a reasonably priced 'after ecu' plug in device for optimising fuel delivery. Anyone lookd into it or tried it yet?

they were designed primarily for turbo cars from 98 onwards.as they run a higher static fuel line pressure and no fuel pressure regulator like the early cars that can use an adjustable regulator.
the power card has now been super seeded by the "elf" from the same company called "BRP"
no benefit in using on a Non turbo as they too rich any way.

Hi Glen.....
Can you take a look at www.PowerCardTuning.com please?
We may be talking about something quite different...there are different applications for both f/i and nat/asp engines, and no mention of the 'elf' you speak of.....
I would value your opinion.
Thanks, Ian

Yup thats the same thing. BRP use the powercard for thier turbo kits.
BRP have now had a bit of a split and things are a bit up in the air.
BRP now use the "elf system" for thier kits.
MX5's run pig rich from the factory above 4000rpm and so adding exhaust air filter etc will bring it back in line but not require a ECU upgrade.
The Greddy E manage is probably a better unit for your year as it has better tunability than a powercard, but in the end the $ per Hp isnt really worth it in a Non turbo application
