Sigh... I think we should all just calm down and go to the pub and drink and talk shit. And then do an oil change on my car because it's a real hassle with its current setup and a large filter

Could you please post pictures to atleast try and dispel some of the so-called "haters"?

A lot of the people on this forum are some of the most knowledgeable folk about these cars, siren included, who have been doing this for a while. They are being like this because of their said knowledge ringing alarm bells that you may have been led on by your 'expert' friends and are in danger of spitting conrods out at people when you hit boost.

Stop just posting anecdotal, "this is what I did and it works", BS and show us some evidence.

Not hating on you but the way you're going about trying to prove your point is not currently working.

I'd like to think that I do go to the pub, talk shit and drink copious amounts of beer on a regular basis...

Guess today was yet another highly successful day after ticking all of the above.

But to be honest, shortcuts generally don't pay off in the long-run hence all the comments. Do it once, do it right.

Dude
I think if you went for a ride in my Turbo NB MX5
You'd see where the 6K goes. Not to mention the package also includes, heavy duty clutch, driveshaft loop, Tuneable ECU, Bigger injectors, Intercooler, Exhaust and a crackfree guarantee tuned length Steampipe Turbo manifold
Unless you've got an upgraded clutch- then I severely doubt whether you have more than 175hp, and that's not really that fast.
I took one of our 6K turbo conversions - drove it to the the bottom of the south island (from Tauranga) did all four South island racetracks in a week, then drove it home with zero problems - and it got raped at all four tracks.
Has since done another half a dozen trackdays and thousands more k's.
If your one could do that without leaving it's guts all over the pavement I'd blow ya. :?

Hey Jazz - if u had answered my question regarding time uv had it running and A/F ratios (I don't think it can b done without a sensor) and how many ks uv run like this It would have coloured the picture some what - u didn't help ur self and got flailed 4 it - Such is life !

Iv no doubt u r happy with ur cars performance but the numbers don't stack up - if u havnt been running long keep some Buss fare in ur pocket !

Not being snarky - just realistic : )

Look, I think there is genuine interest in how this works (or doesn't work) so it would be really good to chuck some pictures up, especially of this tricky pipe work (?....does it simply work as a restrictor due to small diameter?)

so i HAVE seen his build and driven it, and it does go like hell, works very well, feels great. i am NOT choosing sides but in my opinion he has done a great job of it and it is probably one of the best for its price range!
