Airflow Sensor

Is the airlflow sensor different between a 1.6 and a 1.8 NA? My brother has a 93 1.8 and the air flow sensor is stuffed, there is one on trademe from a 1.6, so just want to find out whether it can be used on his car or not before I get it.

Completely different - My 1.8 one has a hot wire in it, not sure how the 1.6s work but they're not interchangeable.

The 1.8 uses a mass air flow type while 1.6 uses a vane type two different things all together

1.8 is the same as lots of mazdas around the same year B6BF type
V6 lantis,4 cyl lantis,Familia (1.8 BH model)
