I'll be going to this in a mate's STI. Thought about taking the MX5 but decided I couldn't justify the expense. Should be a sweet day though!

Yeah, I have to take my STi as well, since the MX5 is still not on the road.

What version do you have? Is it a bit of a theme to own a WRX and an MX5 at the same time? haha.

A NZ new 2005 Ver 9 which I have owned from pretty much new, Blue with Gold rims just for a change (not).

Haven't had the heart to replace it yet, as I don't like any of the newer ones, however, just waiting till the new RWD coupe comes out, then maybe will get one of those, if not, then a BMW 135i will be on the shopping list if I can find a manual one (can't afford a brand new one of those).

Yup, I am trying to get the numbers 555 for the sticker pack for my car, so if I do, you should be able to see it easily out of all the Blue Subaru's there.

I'm nearly the same, Legacy GTB and MX5!

Should be a laugh.

Got 555 for the subbie, not that I approve of smoking, but it is an associated brand mark for the Subaru rally team until 2003, so just had to get it.

Ideas ideas, what are people doing to their car for this? I'm installing a sound system into my mx5 to make it bearable on long trips.

I'm not doing anything, as I don't have any imagination to be creative enough.

I'm going to be there for some of it in my ........ 6.2ltr Diesel Chev --- no road going MX5 at the moment :?

I kind of know the guy who runs Auckland Motorsport so I'll have some of the wagon stickerd up but I'm there to take pics. They run two a year...cannonball at this time of year and snowball in winter down around Taupo/the mountains.

If you see a HUGE Chev wagon at the start/Queenstreet/Hampton Downs come up and say hi :o

Been fiddling with the exhaust, its a bit loud at the moment (questionable on whether a cop would pull me over for it) so I might quieten it a bit to avoid police attention. Sounds awesome though :D

how come you got your sticker pack so early Skilfil, I am still waiting on mine, contacted organisers, they said the packs got sent out Wed, still not here, so hoping it arrives in the mail, and not lost in transit, might be the odd car out there with no stickers on it.

Went and picked mine up, wasn't taking any chances with it because I know they're sending a ton out.

Met a few MX5 members, got out on the skidpad in mine and failed miserably. Stalled 3 times because I was losing traction in second at low speeds then out of nowhere it would grip. 2nd at near standstill = Car dies.

Didn't really like the skidpan so wet, far too icy for my liking. Still worth giving it a try though, just hope I didn't make too much a dick of myself. I did better than the 370z that stalled and couldn't get started for a while anyway

Weather was against us all yesterday, wasn't really good for going around and talking to people, unless you wanted to get completely soaked or had a handy umbrella, which I didn't.

At least faired better than those that come in their Ariel Atom, or the one's that had Fraser and no soft tops for them, they were doing a very good impression of drowned rats, don't even think they finished.

Didn't make it in the end unfortunately, my mate didn't get his pack in time so decided to can it which worked just fine for me cos I came down with the man flu. I heard a mustang didn't fair too well going around the track as well.
