Calling all audiophiles in the Auckland area.

Are there any audiophiles out there in the Auckland area who feel like getting together sometime to compare a couple of CD players and maybe DVD players for CD playback?

Surprisingly my DVD player and CD player sounded completely different when playing the same CD. That said the CD connection was optical and the DVD coaxial digital. Plus the DVD player came out the clear winner.

Until recently I would have sworn digital audio sources regardless of cost/quality would always be the same. I have a cheap CD player and want to compare to others to see if it’s worth spending the cash on a good one, or if I can get away with a good DVD.
