Same thought that I had on reading it......
Will have 10 cars in no time at this rate. Im tight on funds at moment so would be keen being part of an outdoor group. After all these are convertibles and supposed to be out in the weather. 8)

Im keen to join in your club display iff you'll have the butchered remains of an mx5, although I am weather dependent.

I can just imagine you strapping it to your kitcar and jousting the cyclists whilst enroute.

No time for pissing around

This is filling up very very quickly and we have to pull finger or we will miss out.

Now is the time to put your money where your mouth is and we need to know NOW who is keen and if we have the numbers for a group of 10.

Please reply to this thread by Wednesday 12th of February by 11:59pm otherwise I will be registering myself solo and will leave it up to every one else to fend for themselves.

I'm not trying to sound like a demanding asshole but last year was such fun that I am not interested in missing out because some indecisive people chose to sit on their thumbs.

I have little control over the popularity of the event and rate at which the spaces are filling up. I also think that 50 hours is ample time for people to make up their mind on whether or not they wish to spend $20 or $25 registering.

If you wanted you could give tsoob a call on (09) 486 5317

Really the "Club" thing only gives you a $5 for 10 cars, you have to arrive together to get parked together sooooooo I have entered myself as an individual. We all meet up somewhere close buy and convoy in, simple and no pressure on getting 10 cars together.
If we get 10 together I'm happy to join in and If I'm entered twice that's my issue, I just don't want to miss out.

Heaps of progress has been made in the last 2 weeks! Here is a quick map of the show layout, the Indoor map will be out shortly.

We are still taking entrys for the show, it would be great to see a club stand from the forum if anyone wants to orgainse it..?

All enquirys to events@platinumwheels.co.nz

I sent an email other day asking if we register as individuals and then turn up as a group wether we would be able to park as a group.. I have received a reply from Nick confirming that we can.
They are keeping larger areas aside for club stands but if we had a group of 4 or 5 say turning up at same time then this would be ok to park together.
Perhaps instead of having a list of who is keen to register it should be a list of who HAS REGISTERED and wishes to be parked as a group.

I registered today for an outside display. So thats another confirmation. Come on team we need more people to show off their rides.
Does anyone have any ideas of props etc that would help make a more interesting display? I dont have a printer but perhaps someone could print some pics out of various builds, drifts etc to help make the MX5 Forum stand more memorable. These could be pasted into a collage of some description. Maybe glue them together so it resembles the silhouette of a MX5 ??
While Im off work ill contact some printing type companies and see if we can organise a sponsored banner with the MX5 Forum logo ( as long as its ok with original designer and not patented). Who is the appropriate forum person to ask for the usage of design?
Dont be shy; throw some ideas out here on the forum. Im sure there will be support or ridicule if appropriate.

it would be great to have some printouts of some of the MX5 drifting pics to show that they are a little bit more than hairdressers cars
