So, decided to make a thread instead of full up the general chat thing
with race car stuff..

I'll bang in the orginal posts...

(straight copy and paste coz im lazy)

I know it's not miata..
But Meh..

Image

This is one of the cars i've been building and looking after for a few years now..
It's done the NI & SI endurance series and runs in the BMW series.
We've been giving it a huge over haul to run it in the Bathurst 12 hour in Feb,
And it's needing to be leaving next week.
It's getting dyno'd tomorrow after we finally got it plumbed up and running..
About 5k+ AN fittings and hose 0.o

When we get it back, hopfully tomorrow night or thursday it's just the cosmetic things to do and some small wiring jobs, to get it test day ready
for HD on Monday then leaves the next day.

Image

And this is another one i've been giving a love up today..
and more to do tomorrow..

Also have a Surtees
F5000 and Mclaren Can-Am getting tuned atm,

These three will be at the Ferrari festival next weekend

XD

Yeah, they're not bad.

I've only shitty cellphone pictures =\

Image
Main car I look after, will be at the festival..
Image
One of his Other cars,.. that I tend to as well.
This is a special Mclaren..

Image
Surtees, Getting sent off the the dyno yesterday..
Fun fact about these..
The only thing that separates this model from the F1 Surtees is the engine,
Everything is pretty much exactly the same.

Image
And the Other Mclaren that I finished setting up and has been sent away to get dyno'd ready for the festival too.

hate my laptop =\

We had a pretty mixed results weekend, and it was pretty full on for me
and our teams.
Can give ya'll a run down if you want..

First started pulling 15/16 hour days during last week to bust out this thing..

Image
Image

That's it cosmetically finsihed..
Still needs a bit of work on the inside..
Latest new is that we're changing a class so we can run our carbon doors.
During the Ferrari festival when the car was meant to be at the wharf..
It ended up back at the shop..

But should be on it's way to Straya.

Image
As of this morning, this Surtees TS8 has its engine / gbox out
and engine sent to the builder to get looked at because it's been pooling oil all weekend and we give up.

We also have this
Image
neat little Fiat at the shop..
I machined up some bushes and milled some holes in some box
to replaced the cracked and twisted current subframe / motormounts..
Also had a track repaired (duct tape and cable tied) CV repalced today..
and their guys are oil leak hunting too.
That car is winning its class it's running in as well..

I don't know what that orange thing with massive trumpets is, but the engine's in the wrong place and I want one.

Got to see that yellow Ferrari running on the Saturday just gone, impressive watching it battle the blue Corvette, looked like a fun fight.

Certainly moved, didn't have the straight line pace of the 'Vette but it had the cornering and braking to make up for it. Though that 'Vette was a monster.

Seriously? That's a McLaren Canam car! Very cool machines. We had one in the McLaren showroom a few weeks ago when it opened.
Here's a page about them; http://www.bruce-mclaren.com/info_pages.php/pages_id/10

Are you going to mind if others add to the thread,Maybe keep it NZ specific and that other members have something to do with.

Mind if I start it off?

Was at Highlands for the V8ST's. Walking around then got dragged to do corner weights for International Motorsport. =P

I had to hug a fire extinguisher for a few minutes.
