Just heard Matt has had an accident in his car and is in Hospital. My thoughts are with him and his family.

Cheers Guys, All thoughts are appreciated. Got discharged last night with no injuries! so someone was watching out for me!

Fooesboy will add some photos as he is able to.

but please guys get a roll bar, not a style bar, im not sure i would be alive if i had a style bar but would have walked away with no injuries had i got a roll bar.

2 horrible parts of the accident were feeling my head sliding along the road as i was upside down. and then struggling to breathe as i was doubled over in the car. i somehow managed to get to the passenger side of car with my top 1/2 with my legs still in the drivers footwell.

more will come as i get more info on the crash and feel like i can type it up

Welcome back Dude!!!
I know the feeling of surviving a situation which could easily have been recorded as a fatality. Great to hear you are on the mend. Your car can be replaced or repaired. Your life is singular.cherish it always.

Cheers Tim, & Mr Grey,
was an experience that i dont really want anyone else to go through, the look on people faces when i got out of the car really said it all. my warped sense of humour means that i enjoyed getting a lift in a helicopter!

here is a photo of the the poor little thing...

so its rooted. if anyone knows of a decent one for sale for a good price i wouldnt mind hearing about them!

the standard seats are really what saved me. we opened them tonight and there was a big metal bar that never compressed.
so many little things that i could have changed and i wouldnt be here. but i am and thats the thing to focus on!

Glad to hear you're ok. Crashing is never fun, no-more-so in an upside down convertible.

There is a standard one on Trade Me closing in 12 hours with a rooted engine. Its in ChCh I think but could suck up all ypur good parts and put a decent colour over the red that it is. its just over 1 k at moment.

Chopped down a gear and i was already too high in the revs, so it popped sideways and pushed my nose into a bank, as the bank was off the road and there was a decent drop from the edge of the road. it just bit in with the rear wheel and tumbled over.
happened super quick and im pretty pissed off at my driving. and it even turns out that im not the first to roll at a mx5 club event....

first day back at work today and left at lunch.. starting to fall asleep at my desk (dont know if anyone would really notice! )

the only parts that are really damaged that i had modified was my ducktail spoiler which exploded into pieces. My GV panel is ok with a little chip that is easily repaired!

Bit of a shame but still deciding on what to do next!
any want a rolling body :P
